For a complete camera support setup for tripod mounting and moving your camera to a gimbal, the 8Sinn Arca-Swiss Baseplate Kit with ARRI Dovetail Plate allows you to mount your camera and align its optical center for working with cinema camera accessories. The included baseplate supports optional 15mm rods and is compatible with the included 10″ ARRI dovetail plate, so you can easily balance your camera on your tripod. Use this combination with 8Sinn cages for the Z CAM E2/E2-S6/F6/F8, Sony a7 III/a7R III/a7R IV/a7SIII, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K, RED KOMODO/RAPTOR, Panasonic GH6/S1H, Canon EOS R5C, and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K Half Cage.

8Sinn 15mm Baseplate

The 8Sinn 15mm Baseplate is ARRI dovetail compatible and supports optional camera-specific riser plates from 8Sinn. Available plates include the Riser Plate Basic, which supports the URSA Mini, C100, and Sony FX-9 cameras, and the Riser Plate I, which is for select 8Sinn Z CAM, a7/a7R, and Blackmagic Pocket 4K/6K cages. These optional plates set the supported cameras at the appropriate optical center on the 15mm Baseplate.

The 15mm Baseplate features 15mm LWS rod support via front and rear rod ports and a tightening lever on the left and right sides. The left side has a second lever, and this is for securing the compatible riser plate. The 15mm Baseplate offers two ARRI rosette mounts for attaching optional handgrips, and it also provides a section with multiple 1/4″-20 accessory mounting threads. The baseplate is made with excess weight cut out to provide a minimalist, lightweight design.

8Sinn Arca-Swiss Plate for Riser Plate II

Mount your camera on this Arca-Swiss Plate for Riser Plate II from 8Sinn, or get one for all your cameras so you don’t have to swap plates but can still use each camera with your 8Sinn Riser Plate II. The long tie-down screw slot allows you to find the right balance point on the plate for different cameras and camera configurations, while the included 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 captive tie-down screws allow you to mount the plate on a vast variety of cameras or other devices.

The plate is also compatible with the lower DJI R QR Plate, allowing you to go from tripod to gimbal without having to swap out the camera plate. Made from heavily relieved aluminum, this plate is strong, lightweight, and durable.

The screw slot allows use of captive tie-down screws, which helps prevent lost screws. 8Sinn Riser Plate II

Mount this 8Sinn Riser Plate II on your 8Sinn 15mm Baseplate to upgrade your camera mounting to quick release style. Designed to work with the 8Sinn Arca-Swiss Plate for Riser Plate II, this riser plate features a release pin on one side and a locking lever on the other. This allows you to adjust the position of your camera plate forward and back without worrying that the camera plate could accidentally slide free.

This QR riser plate is also compatible with the DJI R Quick Release Plate (Upper), allowing you to mount a compatible gimbal onto your plate so you can easily transition from your gimbal to a tripod setup for static shots. Made from aluminum, this riser is both lightweight and durable.

The 8Sinn 10″ ARRI Dovetail Plate can be used with 8Sinn’s 15mm Baseplate or 3rd-party ARRI dovetail bridge plates to balance large camera setups with large lenses. The plate is designed with cutouts throughout its length so that it can be more lightweight. In this minimalist design made out of a single piece of aluminum, the plate offers reinforced 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads, a release pin, and a stopper screw.

Note: This plate is known not to work with select SmallRig and Kondor Blue ARRI dovetail baseplates.
